The protection you need
With the 2-10 Warranty Program, you get the protection you need for your new construction home. We include the 2-10 Warranty in the purchase price to give you the peace of mind you desire. You don’t have to worry about substantial maintenance costs with this warranty program.
What is the 2-10 Warranty Program?
This type of home warranty offers you peace of mind when you purchase a new construction home. You won’t need to worry about the systems or the structure for the first few years you live in the home.
See, the bank does not ask you to repay them in inflation-adjusted dollars, only nominal dollars. Nominal means “in name only.” Again, the tenant pays the mortgage principal and interest for you. You have a $50,000 annual tailwind that you’ve probably never even thought about.
What does the 2-10 Warranty Protect?
There are three levels of coverage for your home from the 2-10 Buyers Warranty. Let’s look at what all three covers.
1-Year Workmanship Warranty
This portion of the warranty will protect you from material defects or low-quality workmanship for one year. It covers:
- Roof Covering
- Cabinets
- Countertops
- Door Panels
- Exterior Siding
- Hardwood Floor
- Ceramic Tile
- Drywall
- Interior Trim
- Carpet
- Paint
- Fireplace
When a builder defaults on the obligation to your new home, the warranty will cover you.
2-Year Systems Warranty
The two-year systems warranty gives you the protection you need for the piping, ductwork, and electrical wiring. It includes both the supply and the waste piping for a full two years.
10-Year Structural Warranty
For a full ten years, after buying a new construction home, the 2-10 Buyers Warranty will cover the home’s structural elements. This includes roof framing, beams, columns, floor framing, foundation, and load-bearing walls. If something fails, you’ll be covered for the first ten years in your new home.
